History

Established in 1999.

In early 1999, RepairClinic.com was launched by co-founders Chris Hall, an appliance repair technician, and Larry Beach - along with a team of seven people. It was decided that RepairClinic.com would be unique, offering free, credible, easy-to-understand repair help content to empower people to repair appliances on their own.

In 2004, RepairClinic built a 60K sq. ft. building in Canton, MI, and doubled its staff size. In 2010, the company integrated how-to videos into its constantly-enhanced repair help content. In 2011, the company expanded its inventory and repair help to support outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers. In 2012, they began shipping to Canada and added heating and cooling equipment parts and repair help to the site. In 2014, the company's 135 staff members celebrated 15 years in business and 3.5 million customers who've saved $260 million in repair costs by fixing things on their own. Its 2,000 free videos have been viewed more than 32 million times.
