Fortunately, closing the retail store in 2010 now allows co-owner Bill more time to be in the field. Bill admits, "I really enjoy the one-on-one contact with people, so I'm grateful that I will still be able to interact with them through service appointments." No longer the "loneliest guy in town", Bill began his career in the appliance repair industry working for Maytag over 20 years ago. As the company's Service Manager, he encourages all the technicians at Vacaville Appliance (himself included) to take advantage of the continuing education and advanced training available. "As the industry continues to change, we have to adapt to these changes to better serve our customers and the manufacturers entrusting us to do their warranty repairs. Attending training seminars is one way to keep us informed and educated on how to effectively serve our customers."
