History

Established in 1963.

Started in San Francisco in 1890, moved to Palo Alto in 1952,  San Jose in 1959, and Sunnyvale in 1966..  The San Jose store, which was originally in Town and Country Village, moved to Cambrian Park in 2000.  Thom, the current owner, started with the company in 1963 and brought the store to its current location.

Business Owner

Thom started in the cutlery business in 1963 while he was still in college. In the last 50 years he has gone from a clerk to a partner in all the Town and Country Village cutlery stores and finally to a co-owner with his wife in the Cambrian Park store.  He has a tremendous knowledge of his merchandise and he also has a great relationship with his customers as evidenced by the large number who have returned over the years and even followed him from Town and Country to the present location.
